Marking her first solo release of 2020, Jorja Smith has released a jazzy new track titled “Kiss Me In The Morning.” The song is part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix musical drama The Eddy.

The series follows an owner of a Paris jazz club who ends up getting involved with criminals, risking his business, his band, and his daughter. Names André Holland of Moonlight, Joanna Kulig, Amandla Stenberg, Tahar Rahim and Leila Bekhti are some of the cast member, and the show is helmed by La La Land director Damien Chazelle.

Given the thematic of the show, “Kiss Me In The Morning” exudes jazz vibes and Jorja perfectly swims in an upbeat sonic backdrop, as well as showing her impressive vocal range. Listen to the track below. The Eddy premieres May 8 on Netflix.
